PUC Releases 2023 Sustainability Report

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (June 25, 2024) — The PUC Group of Companies (PUC) has released its 2023 Sustainability Report, ‘Electrifying Changes Are Here’. The report outlines how PUC is driving innovation and sustainable practices to meet customers' needs while keeping up with the demands of a changing market landscape.

The report highlights information on many of PUC’s endeavours from 2023 while providing an overview of some of the company's key accomplishments in sustainability, including:

• The Launch of The Sault Smart Grid (SSG), Canada's first community-wide smart grid. This project addresses the critical challenges of carbon emissions, rising electricity costs and the need for grid modernization.

• Community Engagement: PUC donated $75,000 to 50+ local causes and conducted many community outreach ventures that focused on our community's youth.

• A Focus on Safety: PUC provided over 40 safety awareness sessions for hundreds of local contractors.
